6. Protection of Personal Information
GameSource uses Amazon Web Services (AWS) and other third-party services in the AWS environment to host and operate our databases within secure data centers in the United States. This information is protected by physical, electronic and procedural safeguards in compliance with applicable US federal and state regulations. AWS is an industry-leading cloud service platform that provides nondescript facilities, professional security staff, controlled access, video surveillance, intrusion detection, and other security features. All data is separated from outside connections, and access is limited to select members of the current GameSource team. GameSource stores its data within an AWS region that is FedRAMP compliant. Our main database and all backups are encrypted at rest. Additionally, the AWS cloud infrastructure has been designed and managed in compliance with regulations, standards, and best practices, including HIPPA, SOC 1/SSAE 16/ISAE 3402 (formerly SAS70), SOC 2, SOC 3, PCI DSS Level 1, ISO 27001, FedRAMP, DIACAP and FISMA, ITAR, FIPS 140-2, CSA, and MPAA. You can learn more about Amazon’s security policies here.
The infrastructure of GameSource software is built on industry-tested technology and security practices. GameSource uses encryption, firewall, and network security software. We run periodic penetration tests, then log and resolve discovered issues. GameSource clients use TLS/SSL when communicating with our servers and we have a host-based intrusion detection system to detect unauthorized access to production hosts. Additionally, audit logs are sent to a central location for storage and analysis. Access to production servers and interaction with production systems is audited and logged.
GameSource has implemented appropriate data collection, storage, processing practices, and security measures to protect against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure or destruction of your personal information, username, password, transaction information, and date stored on our site. Sensitive and private data exchange between the site and its users happens over an SSL secured communication channel and is encrypted with 256-bit encryption and protected with digital signatures. We do not rent or sell the personal financial information you provide to us. GameSource makes prudent and reasonable efforts to ensure security on our systems and selects providers of third party servers based on their reputation and commitment to do the same.
While we place the utmost importance on security and have set in place those administrative, technical, and physical precautions to safeguard your personal information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, destruction, loss, theft, and misuse, ultimately we cannot and do not guarantee or ensure the protection of your personal information.
